AISC Chennai Flood Relief

The AISC Chennai Flood Relief (see their Facebook page, or tell your parents) have created a donation system in which people have the ability to donate a variety of different products and/or goods to aid the people of Chennai in their fight for safety and shelter. We are currently asking for foods, clothes, sundries, and items such as blankets, sheets, and mats. We already have a total of 12 boxes around the school in which you can donate these items including the main reception, the elementary entrance, and the HS and MS cafeteria.

When considering items to donate, please keep in mind the quality in which you plan to give to our campaign. When donating clothes, make sure that they are culturally appropriate and are able to be used by children from 3 to 18. As well when donating food to keep all items in good quality. Thank you for supporting your community.

Returning books!

000b0eaf_mediumStudents,  You have been given a blue check-out form that is due on Friday, May 29th. Please make sure all library books, including books from our class library, have been returned by Friday, at the latest.

We will also be collecting the social studies textbooks this Thursday and Friday in class. Do NOT bring your book in before these days. Also, do NOT simply drop your book off on your teacher’s desk or on the shelf. You need to personally hand us the book and we need to check to make sure your name and book number matches our records.

Week Without Walls in Yelagiri was a learning experience for everyone. We saw many examples of students modeling the 4C’s of AISC’s mission statement and we also saw good team work and collaboration on display. What did you like or dislike about the three days in Yelagiri?

The World Scholar’s Cup

If you are interested in learning more about the World Scholar’s Cup, click HERE. Mr. Phan sent all M.S. students a message and Google Document to sign-up. We noted that two 6th grade groups have signed up, so far. It looks pretty cool!

Grade 6 students: Make sure you get your ticket to see Once on this Island, our M.S. musical.  There are several students from your grade in the play and working backstage. The students have been working hard to prepare for the show. Support your classmates and go see it!
