I learned that agriculture consume 18% of the GDP and half of the labour forces are on agriculture, that diesel take 40% of India’s oil demands. I learned that monsoon gives 80% of the rain that India gets.

I think that monsoons give farmers’ crops water, but also can cause a drought or a flood if it comes too weak or too strong.

Mountains shape India’s climate because when the monsoon comes, their is a lot of water, and when the winds that cause the rain touches the mountains, they go back and cause droughts.

The advantages of having monsoons is that their can be a lot of rain but the disadvantages is that their can be not enough water (drought) or to much water (flood).

Disadvantage of the monsoon is that in monsoon season, there’s lot of water. So, that often times, the flood occur.
The advantage of monsoon is that the monsoon provides water for the crops which helps agriculture of that region.
Great rivers of India made the land near river (floodplain) a fertile place to live, which was the perfect place for farming. But the negative effect was, that during the monsoon season, these great river often flooded which caused lot of damage and casualties.

From this video, I learned that the mountains ranges of India was the protection of the nation because, they blocked the way of invaders from the northern land. Especially, Himalayas mountain blocked the way of Chinese who were ambition to conquer India.

Also I learned that the trading lute from ancient time is still using now, by Indian traders.
