The series of Harry potter and Percy Jackson changed my life because those books made the fun in reading. J.K. Rowling is so imaginative and she is a really good author. Rick Riordan’s books are full of new ideas, combining Greek myth to everyday life, but I think J.K. Rowling is more skilled. And Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery has rich word choices. And Lemony Snicket’s books always start with a example of a situation. Some of my writing pieces are influenced by her.
Sorry for all these books if I am only allowed to choose one, but I love all these books.

Tae Yeon,
You already know that Anne of Green Gables is a favourite of mine. I love Anne’s imagination and she is so talkative- when I was this age, I was talkative with my friends but also very shy. I suppose I admired Anne for just saying what she wanted to say even if she got in trouble!

The Wonders of Magic in the J.K Rowling’s Harry Potter series is breathtaking. Those books are no doubt the BEST thing I’ll ever read. From years 1-7 Harry Potter’s experiences at Hogwarts have changed my reading experience forever. There’s also the Huckleberry Finn and the Tom Sawyer books. Mark Twain made their adventures come to life in my head. These books took me on a journey, from trying to free a slave, to getting trapped in a cave, The amount of detail he and JK Rowling put in their books never fails to amaze me. Overall my favorite books are the Harry Potter Series, but Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer are very close seconds.

I agree with Mrs. Hall. It is rare to find a student who likes books like Tom Sawyer. I am glad to hear you like classic literature. I can suggest some other novels, if you like these types of books.

The Percy Jackson series and Harry Potter series really effected for life. Before I started reading these series, I was hooked to biographies and non-fiction. I simply hated the world of fiction and fantasy. I never imagined that I would start to avoid non-fiction and read fantasy. Also, The Heroes of Olympus Series is awesome. Rick Riordan and J.K Rowling are some amazing and role models I look up to. Now I can just sit there for hours reading and reading books.

Percy Jackson the lightening thief changed my life. After trusting Luck Castellan percy Jackson had to face death at hades house. After reading that book and watching that movie, I realised that not everyone who s nice and kind to you is trust worthy.

Well….
There is a book called I Funny. This book is about a kid named Jamie who tells students that it is okay to be funny. My mom always says if you are funny, you will become a nobody. But when I read this book, I realized that having a little bit of comedy, can somehow change your life by having friends.

I certainly have, The Heroes of Olympus series took the breath out of me! There was always exiting bits and and mind numbing moments that will make you cry for more. It always seemed like i had something it common with the characters. I learned so much about reading and it really changed my mind about how I thought about things and, every time I finished reading. I found myself thinking about the book for minutes! It took me on a great ride.

There is nothing like a book that makes you think about it long after you finish reading- those are valuable books!

Books are dangerous you can get so focused on them that you can’t take your eyes off them, and they take away your play time.

Nice to see you can get in the “reading zone”, Alice. When I can’t take my eyes off a book, I know it must be a great read.
