I think it is hard for Archaeologists to study the past because many things will be gone after 2 million years.

It is important because the archaeologists might want to know about their early life and learn about it. I also want to learn about my family life. I learned in the videos that Archaeologists go all around the world to find evidence or clues to see how the early life was like in B.C.

Archaeologists don’t just look at books, they search a little area called a dig site. With scientists they can find out how long ago the artifact was in the ground. Sometimes they can even find out when the artifact was made. They also try to find a different civilizations with the help of scientists. It’s hard for a archaeologist due to that most of what they find is shattered or broken is some way, making one dig site search even longer that expected. I learned that

Good comments, Prannoy. Well-written and detailed. Have you ever wondered what archaeologists would learn about you if they went through your garbage in 100 years?

I think studying early people must be very hard for archaeologists because they have to be very observant and they have to make a theory of how early people lived, just by observing a tiny piece leftover from an ancient pot or any other archaeological fossil. I learned that sometimes fossils can break during transport.

Yes, I agree with you Vinay. Often they don’t have much evidence to work with.

Archaeologists search for ancient or not that ancient artifacts to learn more about the past and and they do that by searching in the ground. They also search in books to see where the artifacts were builted to go dig them up. Also, I think that it is hard to be an archaeologist because you are in the sun digging all day long and it is also hard to find the just right book to know where to dig. I learned that when an artifact is broken, and the archaeologists have all the pieces, they clean it properly and they can remake it but it would not be perfect.

Well-written comment, Alexandre. I don’t think it’s an easy job as you said, especially if you are digging in difficult climates or conditions. Obviously, they are passionate about ther job and love it. For some people, they might find this boring.

First of all, these are good videos. Secondly I think being an archeologist is not a very easy job because sometimes you have to go to countries where it is hot to dig to find objects. And also in the dirty spots. You really have to like to dig in hard condition,s if you really wish to be an archaeologist or you really have to love being one. I learned what archaeologists do after digging, where they put the stuff they found under the ground…….

Archaeologist’s find evidence about the past. They study artifacts. I think it is hard for archaeologists to find out about early humans because the people have died and they need to spend a lot of time to find clues in the sand. If they find fossils it might make their work easier.

Archaeologists study ancient human like creatures which roamed on earth on two feet way before us. It is hard to study early humans and how they lived/ developed because all humans who are currently alive are complex and I think they should work with the modern humans work before jumping back there. Or maybe archaeologists and neurologists/psychologists/ people who work on how people work should work side by side. I bet humans are pretty much the same wherever time goes. BUT (there’s the big BUT) it would be so much easier if several sample volunteer normal guys came along and tell the truth about everything (the way he feels about things(food, games, sports, etcetera…) that might be related to their find.

Archaeologists are the people who study the past. They look at remains and see what kinds of creatures did and do.The reason it’s hard for archaeologists to study the past is because, first of they have to find remains and that is hard that to archaeologists dig in squares not in any random place. Then when they find a remain they have to see it and try and think how the people in the past lived. I learnt that Anthropologists study humans and see social, physical and cultural environment. They’re concerned of how the past relates with the present.

Archaeologists study the past and how people lived before like what they are and where they where. When I think of archaeology, I first think of dinosaurs and bones and stuff like that. They do study that but it is not their main topic. They try to find clues so that we can understand more of were we are from like how did our languages get o languages and how did we get to invent phones and computer; how did they find out fire and how did they get the alphabet or things like that. They have a lot of questions and they are searching for all these questions and found out a lot of them. So, it is a lot of work to be an archaeologist.

Archaeologists are finding evidence that’s help us to understand and know about the history. They usually study about artefacts and they also study about fossils. For example, like earliest human. It is so hard to studying early human for archaeologists because it is so difficult, that finding out the whole true and facts with only few evidences. I learned from the video, that the archaeologists are really hard working to figure the facts out. And I learned that the stuffs and steps that archaeologists are do.
