What was the highlight from your 6th grade experience?
I loved the fact that we got to use lockers. In France, there are no lockers for any grades. I also like that we have an IHub and we can go anytime in breaks.
What will you do this summer?
I will stay in Chennai for 2 months and then go to the US, Boston and Maine for 2 weeks. I will miss the first 2 days of school.

You will love Maine. I went last summer for the first time. It’s beautiful. Go to Acadia National Park, eat a lobster roll, and go to Mount Desert Ice Cream in the town of Bar Harbor (the best ice cream). Watch out for the mosquitoes in Maine. They are huge and nasty.

My favorite part of being in 6th grade is my friends. Honestly coming to India from a new country I was not really expecting to have a lot of friends, but I was totally wrong! I have made so many amazing friends. They always have my back and never let me down. I am so glad to have friends like the ones I do. They mean so much to me and I am going to miss they so much!!!! Most of my friends are leaving at the end of this year, but I know where ever they are whether I am sitting next to them or not they will always be in my heart and I will always be in theirs. My favorite part of in 6th grade at AISC is my friends.
This summer I do not have much planned. We are going to Chicago for a while and visiting a few old friends / family. Then we might spend a few extra days in Europe on the way back to Chennai. Other than that I am just planning to keep in touch with friends over the Summer.

What a sweet message. I am glad you had such a good year. It’s not easy moving to a new country and making all new friends. You have gotten involved in our school community in so many ways. Great job with soccer this year. Have fun and enjoy Chicago, the ‘Windy City.’ They have great restaurants.

Hello students –
It has been a true pleasure to teach you this year. I met most of you in 4th grade when I was in the elementary school my first year at AISC. You have grown up so much. It has been a great year and I have so many great memories, including week without walls, ASIAC soccer, and of course, my classes.
This summer in June, I will return to my home in upstate New York, go to Mexico to my wife’s family, and then head to Oregon and Washington states for a wedding and road trip. I will return to New York for a few weeks in early July before returning to Chennai on late July. I can’t wait to ride my mountain bike, eat the food I cannot find here (strict ABC diet – Anything But Chicken), and explore some nice state or national parks.
Please come and visit me next year, and don’t be a stranger or too cool to see your 6th grade teachers. I am confident you will all be successful next year! Have a fun summer.

I loved WWoW too because it gave me more of a taste of nature and adjusting to everything around. I wish I had more time to spend time with my friends. I never had this much fun unlike the US. I had a great time doing silly things in Theatre to very serious things like learning verbs in French. I loved having all my subjects, the teachers were nice and clearly knew what they were doing in class. I had so many learning opportunities like STEM. I wish I had another chance to say a final goodbye to those who already left. I missed Yuki I. after the first day he left so I will be sobbing when they leave at the end of the year. I regret the enemies I had at the beginning at the year but soon enough I realized that enemies don’t exist. I am going to miss everyone who is leaving and I hope they keep in touch with me while they are travelling. I hope everyone makes more friends if they are moving and don’t forget us. 😉

I have a lot of good memories. But my BEST memories is “parties”. Because I never participating some parties, so first time of I participated the party, they were danced in the center. So I was surprised!! Because Japanese people are shy, so they will not dancing in the party. But in that party, all students were danced.
