To celebrate our year of reading, we have been creating book trailers and our final book review for our book review blogs. In 6th grade Humanities this year, we have calculated that students have read 2,180 books total (at last count). Many met the “40 Book Challenge,” several surpassed it. All students read a wide variety of genres this year, and we are very proud of them. Some students are finishing book trailers this weekend, and we will add more to the playlist below. Check out the book review blogs here:
I enjoyed Prahalad’s and Alessio’s video! I liked how they acted, and also used other people in their video. I think the idea of acting ‘hooks’ more people into possibly wanting to read the book. I enjoyed watching it! It was funny. (laugh)
I also thought it was very creative. I am glad you took the time to watch it, and I am sure they do too. I thought these book trailers would be a good way to wrap up or end our year of reading.
I agree with you Natsumi I think that was my favorite, but the others were also good, I like how they got other students involved. I really want to read that book now.
I agree. I loved all the videos and how they all hooked me in different ways. Some made my heart pound and others made me feel sympathetic!! I loved them and I look forward to reading them soon….
I really liked Marie’s trailer. Because it explained the main story but does not give away the ending or to much information. And the pictures where also really fitting and a good visual to imagine the characters. She even convinced me to read this book in summer through her trailer.
But also all the other trailers I saw where really good. Now I have a big pile of books to read through the summer break.
That is our goal, Luise. We want you to discover new books and to explore new genres. Thanks for posting a comment. I am sure Marie will also appreciate your comment. I need to watch it too.
I also really liked Marie’s trailer. I have already seen the movie, and I couldn’t have summarized the story better! She added great pictures and her music matched the story very well. Marie, this is an amazing book trailer!
I love the trailers ! I really enjoyed watching the trailer “Regarding the Bathroom” I think. I like the way of using students from 6th grade as the different characters. I hope that I will find this book before going away for the summer, because I really want to read it !
Really good trailer !
Marie.
I like Emma, Venessa , Juyoung video. Because I’m already saw this book and also movie. But It make me wanna see one more time , Sound is also appropriate that video ,pictures also make very interesting and like some sentence also make seance in that video !!.
GooD JoB GuY !! All videos are great 🙂
I really enjoyed Prahalad and Alessio’s book trailer! ‘Regarding the Bathroom”. Probably because Min Jeong and I were there, but also it was really creative. They act out by themselves and was really funny! But the other guys did well too! I’m definitely going to read some of the books in the book trailer. Some of the book trailer refreshed the memory of the book too! That’s why I like trailers.
I like book trailer of Prahalad and Alessio. I think they acted out the scene really good and it was really fun to. It was also really funny. But for me it was little bit hard to understand is the book about.
I liked the trailer of Alessio and Prahalad because it didn’t have only images and they had acting because most of the time, when images are used they are blurry. I also liked how they used other people in it which made it more realistic and funny. Good job!
I really enjoyed doing this project. I think it was a good idea and it was very interesting. It was also a lot of fun watching all the different trailers. A trailer that I really enjoyed was Advika’s and Seo Young’s. It was very interesting and I could look see the different ways that we all thought of the book because we also did the same book. I like the video but I think the pictures were a little bit blurry.
I like a lot Bhavni and Mara book trailer because one time, I read this book and it was too hard for me I couldn’t understand anything but in their book trailer, I finally got what the summary was about and they decribe it well. It make me want to read it again!!!!!
I really enjoyed prahalad and alessio’s book trailer. It had really good acting and I liked the music you guys used. The template you used worked perfectly with what book you were doing and it was hilarious. MUST, REGARD, THE, BATHROOMS!!!!!!!!!!!
I want to read the Hunger Games. I new the book and I always wanted to read it, but I didn’t know the story so much. But after I wantched Jeong Hee’s book trailer, I know now that I’m going to enjoy it!
I would like to read Number the Stars and Among the Hidden during summer vacation. Both books look interesting. The trailers of the books hook me which made me think that I want to read the books!
All of the trailers are great! Previously, I had only 1 book I had planned to find this summer, because I had already been searching for The Last Hope now I’ve got a lot more. The Number the Stars trailer was great! I am curious about the ending, and look forward to reading it.
As for Prahalad and Alessio’s Regarding The Bathrooms, it was HILARIOUS!!! It made me want to read the book, and it was really funny! I liked the part where Alessio appeared with a mustache, and Prahalad wrapped in toilet paper! They also acted it out very good, and I like how they even asked others to help the out.
All of the trailers were good though. They all inspired me to read the books, and even though I had read a lot of them, I am going to read them again. And making the trailers was also fun.
The book trailers are awesome! We worked hard to get the best ones.. I really enjoyed making the book trailer and also watching my friend’s book trailers.
All the book trailers were interesting and I think Prahalad’s and Alessio’s was really good as it did not give away much of the story with small phrases. Great job everyone.
wow!!!!! It is amazing how good these videos turned out.Everybody should be really proud of themselves for creating such good videos I really enjoyed watching them in class the other day and I am sure everybody had fun making them it was such a great opportunity to do this and it celebrates the vast variety of books we have read this year and to know that altogether we have read over 2,000 books is just amazing. Have a GREAT summer vacation and goodbye to all of our fellow classmates that are leaving!!!!!!!!!!!!
