I think he was assassinated because of the arrow head in the shoulder

In my opinion, I think he died because of battle.
Because he has wound from arrow and rock.

I think it’s assassination because if he died because of the battle there must be more mummy around Otzi. And also scientist found out the lead of arrow in his body and it was in dangerous place so he should die even though he was in warm place. Also there were quiver and spear next to Otzi so it’s not robbery. So I think it’s assassination.

I think he died because of assassination, because if it was battle there will be more mummies around him.

Maybe they died somewhere esle.

I vote for Assassination because he can be reader of tribe

Nao, I think it’s possible he was a leader (not reader). What makes you think he was a leader? Tell me your opinion.

I think his was killed by the arrow that was shot. (assassination)
Because if he froze, why was the arrow on his back?
If he was killed by battle, why aren’t other arrows around there?
So I think he was killed by assassination.

Natsumi, I don’t agree with you because if he was assassinated, they must have had killed him silently without so many fighting.

Then maybe he was in battle but only otzi vs a whole tribe

Gyeong deok, but they could have fight a lot because the Ice man, Otzi was strong

I think he suffered from hypothermia because it seemed most logical. He did have an arrowhead in his shoulder, but I think that it didn’t kill him. I think he froze to death.

I disagree, Arya, because in the Iceman Murder Mystery documentary, I remember learning that the arrowhead struck an important artery, so he quickly bled to death.

In my opinion I think Ötzi died in battle because if he was robbed, they must have robbed all the goods from him as much as they could. And also, if he was assassinated, they must have had to kill him without letting him know it. but the bones were broken and the I think that means it is showing that he was fighting back.

That is a good theory, Gyeong Deok. It is quite obvious people wanted to steal all the rare goods he had. But why didn’t they take them? If they wanted it, they could’ve just taken because he was already dead.

I disagree with you, because assassination doesn’t really have to kill a person without noticing. Or the person or people who shot Otzi, could have stumped him after or do more harsh things to him just to make sure he doesn’t come alive.

I vote for “Died in Battle” because scientists found other people’s blood on his weapons. It may have been a war between the tribes or even one on one combat.

That would have been my second choice.

I really believe Otzi was assassinated because if he was in a battle wouldn’t chances be another body in the same place. Also if he was robbed why did he still have the copper axe with him? But, if he was assassinated the person who assassinated him would want nothing to do with him and not even search the body.

The other people who died could have been destroyed

In my opinion I think he died in battle because they found that he hit a rock when he died and maybe the people he killed went down the glacier and their bodies were destroyed

I think Ötzi died by assassination if he was in battle, other bodies should be found. Also if he froze to death, he couldn’t have been shot in the back. So I think he was assassinated.

By the result of “Head of arrow in his left shoulder”, maybe he was killed by somebody else using a bow, another word, from far away. Then, it will be an assassination.

i think he assassination because when he robbery there will few drop of blood when he died in battle there will be more dead people surround him

I vote for hypothermia because they found him in ice.

I think Ötzi assassination from others because in Ötzi’s shoulder there is allow head.

I think Otzi dead because assassination.
The arrowhead was in his back shoulder.
I think somebody shoot it.

I think Otzi died in the hypothermia, because he was found in the Otzel mountain so I think he was frozen to death

I vote for ‘Assassination’ because it said copper axes were valuable and sign of power so I think Otzi was a religious leader but other don’t want to follow him so they kill him.

In my opinion, I think that Otzi was assassinated. If it was the robbery, why did they leave the axe behind? If there was a battle going on, shouldn’t there be at least 1 people lying around? If the glaciers took other dead bodies away, why was other tools, like axe and arrow left behind? They could have took it for their advantage of winning the battle. Hypothermia also doesn’t make sense to me. Why was he hit by a rock and an arrow shot him if he froze to death? I think assassination is the best theory to me.

In my opinion, Otzi died in assassination, because he had a arrow head in his body and the arrow was at the left top of his body, so it’ll cause an effect on to his heart. If he was robbed, the thief should have taken all the goods from his body, but they didn’t. If he died in hypothermia, why did he have an arrow head? Also he was well preserved from the coldness. You could see by his shoe, because it was made up of 3 different materials to protect his foot by the cold weather. And if he died in a battle, there could have been more bodies lying around besides Ozti. So overall, I think that Otzi died in assassination.

I think he died in the battle, because there was a different people’s blood DNA on Otzi’s weapon, and he might have ran away from the battle and hid himself.

I think he died because of hypothermia, he seemed like his was shivering when the archaeologists found him. Even if he had arrowhead on his back, he couldn’t have died with that (I think).

In my opinion , I think Otzi was killed by a murder because I now that in his shoulder is the front of a arrow. And his head was bleeding because some one hit his head with a stone as he was already hit by the arrow and was joust dying.so I think he was killed by some one because maybe Otzi was near by a treasure or something the murder wonted because the murder thought Otzi wonted it but actually Otzi wonted to walk past it.

I think Otzi died of assassination, mainly because of the arrowhead in his shoulder. The advanced copper axe showed that Otzi must have been an important person, and if it was robbery, the thieves would have stolen it for certain. If he died of hypothermia, what about the artery struck by the arrowhead? I don’t think he was killed in battle because only 2 of his arrows were ready for use. Therefore, I think he died of assassination.
