Greetings! I hope you all have had a nice summer vacation. I just returned to Chennai last night after spending a month in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. When people think of New York, they often do not think of the images above. They think of New York City. I am from a small town in central New York between Rochester and Syracuse, two medium-size cities. I enjoyed my summer riding my mountain bike, picking fresh berries, visiting nearby state parks and enjoying the beauty of the region I call home. How was your vacation and where did you go?

Hi Mr Martin, those blueberries look delicious!! I come back to Chennai tomorrow, and I just came from Finland, and the midnight sun 😄. I enjoyed picking wild strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, gooseberries, and so on, and being able to eat them the minute I picked them. Also diving into the icy lake, then sitting in the 90 degree(C) sauna (hot room that the Finns invented). I also caught two fish on the third day, after a few days of thinking I wasn’t going to catch anything. Before I also Visited England and Greece to see family there too.
Hope the last of your summer is good,
Sophia

Great to hear from you, Sophia. It sounds like you had a great summer. I will miss you this next year, but I know I will see you around. I would love to return to Finland. It looks like a beautiful country. Helsinki was actually the first foreign city I visited when I left the U.S. as a college student in my senior year….a long, long time ago. Haha.
