In video number 5, I learned that in the origin of Gandhi, there is temple that is very important for Hindus.

In the 4th video, I learned that India has very different climates. Like said, some cities are cold while some others are hot or just plain normal. In the 8th Video I learned that the summer brings heavy rains and the winter brings “dry conditions”

In video number3 I learned that India is the seventh largest country in the world. I thought that India was much more larger than the other countries but it was the seventh largest. I also learned from video clip number2 that 1.2 billion people depend on agriculture. So the monsoon is really important for 1.2 billion people. That’s a lot!

In video #5, I learned that Hindus believe in a legend about how the Ganges river appeared. In video #7, I learned that about half of India’s population works in agriculture, so the monsoon affects a lot of the country’s population. If the monsoon doesn’t come, there won’t be a famine, but the government would be affected.

In video number 3, I learned that from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat there is a lag of two hours. And I surprise that India is the seventh largest country in the world.

In video #7, I learned that if the rain didn’t come in a good time or amount, it will affect the people in India a lot. Like, if it rained too much, the River would over flow, and if the rain didn’t come for a week or so, it would cause a drought and the crops would fail. I didn’t know until I saw this video that the amount of rain was so inportant! Also, in the 8th video, I learned that summer in India is a rainy season, and winter in India is a dry season.

In the 9th video I learned that modern day Pakistan relies on the Indus river. I wonder how the Pakistan would look without the river.

In video number 8#, I learned that the direction of the wind(monsoon) is reversed in summer and winter. In summer the wind goes from the sea to the land and in winter, the wind goes from the land to the sea. Monsoon affects lot of countries such as India, Bangladesh and surrounding East Asian countries. Monsoon also affects Central Africa and northern Australia.

I learned that Himalayas mountains ranges was not only the biggest but also they were very young and they continr to grow 2 inches each years.

In the video 7,8 I learnt a lot of things about monsoon. I thought lots of rain is good thing for farmers but it will affect as positive way only when rain come with good amount of water and in good time. It was really good video. Also I learn India’s winter season is dry and summer is rainy.

In video #5, I learned that the origin of the Ganges river is the peak of mountain Himalaya. Glaciers the melt in the mountain flows down to India. Also in the place where Ganges were first formed, there is a huge temple which is important for the Hindus. People wash their hairs with the Ganges river to clean themselves.

In Video #7, I learned that farmers also relied on Diesel. When a monsoon was late or weak, the farmers depended on Diesel so it could power their back-up plan. If a monsoon’s pattern was changed even a little, it could be a bad monsoon.

In Video 7 I learned that most of the people in India is farmers so the economy of India goes with the farming. Also they need diesel for their power source of the farming, so one of the most important resources are diesel..
